The Pastor has recently been appointed Chaplain to Lossiemouth FC. They play in the Scottish Highland League. This is a great opportunity to build links with the community through being intentionally relational. Alex Ferguson, the ex Manchester United manager describes the benefits of Chaplaincy: “Chaplains can be of help to all sorts of people involved with sport, when crisis, need, or difficulty comes. I commend the idea of sports chaplaincy and the work of Sports Chaplaincy to you.”
Pray for the Pastor as he takes up this role. If you would like to find out more information about Sports Chaplaincy check out their website at www.sportschaplaincy.org.uk

The Christmas season is one of the busiest times of the year. But it is also a season of reflection and preparation for that special day when we mark Immanuel’s coming—the arrival of our eternal God in our own frail humanity.

The Adventure Cruise holiday club has sailed, your too late for this year……
See the daily blog below, from July 2014
Look out for information and blog comments from the team… We are soo excited, this year’s holiday club is here! So if you are going into Primary 1 – Primary 7 this August you can come along and join in the crazy fun! Join Granny McLeod, Stewart and Heather as they begin their summer holiday on the H.M.S. Cruise Adventure. But wait, there’s a pirate on the loose who is looking for hidden treasure! Can you help Granny McLeod find the treasure, or will they discover something even better than silver or gold?
After a long wait, Holiday Club is finally here..hooray! At precisely 10am this morning HMS Adventure Cruise set out leaving Lossie to set sail on the “C” of Choice! And as we cruised along we learned about how Jesus healed the man with leprosy and how he would never turn anyone away. The team had a great time sailing with our “smaller” passengers, getting to know them and doing some fun crafts and laughing out loud together at the McLeod family drama. But just who is that strange pirate? Is he really a crook? And what is in the captains suitcase that is so precious?…. You’ll have to come along in the morning to find out!
Well it was amazing to sail again today with our passengers (all 49 of them!) aboard the HMS Adventure Cruise and what an amazing time we all shared! Our early morning zumba session went down a treat and it certainly woke up all the crew, however there were some dodgey dance moves from the team but hey we are on our hols so anything goes! Today we set sail on the C of Courage and learned all about the woman who poured perfume on Jesus, washed his feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. We also met with those pesky pirates again in our drama and now they have granny McLeod hostage! What ever will become of her?? But for me the main star of today was our lovely “Gladys” who ran our daily quiz alongside Neil the main quiz master! She definitely made us all laugh with her funny accent and hilarious singing!! Can’t wait till tomorrow’s quiz that’s for sure!! Tomorrow we will be visiting the C of Call so set your alarm clocks early and head on down for another fun packed adventure!
As we pulled out of the harbour today the conditions were calm but the fog was soon rolling in. We learned that ships and fog are not a good mix and that if a ship did get into difficulty then a flare or two way radio may be their only way of calling for help. Our bible story was also about calling for help and we met a man named Bartimaeus who called out to Jesus and asked him to restore his sight and Jesus healed him. We also really enjoyed meeting Gladys again and her sidekick, ahem sorry main quiz master Nick who kicked off the morning with a fun quiz. Tomorrow we will find out what’s in the briefcase so don’t miss out and come along to see what those pesky pirates are really up to! And remember that it’ll be a Zumba dance start so have plenty of breakfast to keep you going!
We all had another thrilling day out at sea today, enjoying the breeze and the sun shine on the C of change and finding out all about a man named Zacchaeus who completely turned his life around after meeting Jesus!
Our popular Zumba dance session kicked off today’s club where we boogied on down to some oldies but goodies (YMCA was my favourite!) Then Gladys and Nick joined us quizzing the teams about yesterday’s bible stories and we found out that Gladys is so good as an assistant the ITV 3 + 1 is interested in singing her up! Wow!
Plenty of fun games were played too and we all looked forward to out daily dose of the McLeod family drama. Will the pirates will get away with their dastardly plan of stealing the passengers jewellery or will granny McLeod save the day? Be sure to come along tomorrow for the final day of our adventure cruise and join in the craziness of double points Friday!!
And a fantastic Friday was certainly had by all!! We really had a great day with all our crew and shipmates aboard the HMS Adventure Cruise today and we finally found out what the pirates pesky plan was! They had intended to steal all the ships jewellery but thanks to granny McLeod, she saved the day!
Well sadly another holiday has drawn to a close and we were all really sorry to say goodbye to all our wonderful little shipmates! But its not all doom and gloom as we do have a fun Sunday morning service planned at the church at 11am this Sunday! So head down to Lossie Baptist with the family and enjoy the McLeod family drama for the last time and also see the lovely Gladys and Nick for a final holiday club quiz before she also leaves for pastures new to join ITV3 Plus 1! Rumour has it that the Countdown team are interested in her also! And we may even see the pirates too, that’s if they can escape…. I don’t know how they will but you never know! And don’t forget to bring along your completed competition sheets, the winner may be YOU! And you will find out which team is crowned champion of the Adventure Cruise Holiday Club. Hopefully see you there shipmates 🙂
