Cantata 2017 ~

Rehearsals start Sunday 3rd September

Hi friends. Excited for Sunday our 1st practice. Planning to listen through the music together and start teaching “Heart’s Waiting” and “Here we come a carolling”? Don’t worry if you don’t have a CD yet, planning to give them out on Sunday. I know a few of the old faithful singers from cantatas past are bowing out for this year and you will be missed.  Please try and encourage as many people to come along and find out more if you know anyone who you think may enjoy. Especially altos and sops. Great to have new folks already on board. Remind me below who reads music and who just needs words. Picking up the printed scores tomorrow

Dates for the cantata performances will be December   Friday 8th, Sat 9th and Sun 10th Dec

LBC are hosting The Naked Truth Project

Saturday 23rd September – 7.30pm

The evening will be very informal and is an opportunity for us to be better resourced when faced with the growing issue of pornography in society.  It is quite a coup to have Ian Henderson from The Naked Truth Project with us in Lossiemouth.

We are hosting the evening to try and give parents / leaders the tools and resources to deal with the difficult questions.  We are keen for each family to be represented by at least one parent or carer.

For more details see the PG Website – Here…

An Evening with Simple Faith ~ 20th MARCH

Established in 2003 as a Part Time Church group, Simple Faith are now a Full Time Gospel Ministry and have had the privilege of seeing over 300 people come and surrender their lives to Christ in 2015.

Our aim as a Southern Gospel Quartet is to lift up on high the name that is above all names, the Lord Jesus Christ, with 4 powerful testimonies we can demonstrate Gods saving and keeping power, mixed with a sound that will up lift those that need encouraged and challenged in their most Holy Faith. Our sound is not limited to one particular age group, as we believe that all ages can relate to our style of music.

In September (2014) Simple Faith were delighted to be voted Group of the Year at the first ever Northern Ireland Gospel Music Awards, they also picked up Southern Gospel album of the year for,Go Tell The world and He Can & He Will was voted Best Original Gospel Song of the year. This was a night to remember in the 10 year history of the group.

Simple Faith have a real passion to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ, which is evident through the music they sing. They have been ministering in Churches and events across the UK, Ireland, America & Norway. They also minister regularly in The Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle, singing in front of 2000 people. In September 2010 Simple Faith had the amazing experience of singing in front of 12,00 people at Ravenhill Rugby Stadium and 1 year later in the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, were over 8000 people attended, both outreaches where organized by the senior Pastor of the Metropolitan Tabernacle Church, Pastor James McConnell.

They have also had the pleasure of supporting Andréa Crouch, Israel Houghton & New Breed in Dublin, Guy Penrod in Belfast, (this being Guys only UK concert) and Divine Authorities Gospel Concert headlined by the late, George Hamilton IV.

Their upcoming tour for 2016 is called Grace For Tomorrow, a new album recorded in Ringgold, GA, USA, produced by Jeremy Peace, Tenor for The LeFevre Quartet.

LBC Gift Day

LBC Gift day. Sunday the 13th March.

The new extension, which is such an asset to LBC and is in constant use, was opened in September 2010 thanks to the giving of many in the Fellowship at the time and since and a loan from the Baptist Union of Great Britain which has been paid back monthly. Due to an interest free loan given last year to clear the BU loan, the current outstanding sum of £105,000 should be paid off completely 6 months earlier than originally planned. We all enjoy the facilities we have at LBC, so please think and pray about whether you could give a donation. Envelopes are available for the Gift day which was the 13th March.  Please return them to the treasurer or put them in the collection plate over the next couple of weeks…
